Board Volunteer

Associate Director

Have you ever thought about what it would be like to run a business with over $140 million in assets and over 14,000 members? Are you looking for a way to use your talent and insight to give something back to your community? Would you like to help guide the future direction of a multi-faceted local organization whose genuine goal is to help people in your community move their financial lives forward?

Become a Bloom Credit Union Associate Director!

As a member-owned financial cooperative, Bloom Credit Union relies on member volunteers to ensure financial soundness and guide strategic and policy decisions in everything from technology and branches to product development and member services. By becoming an Associate Director, you can develop your knowledge and skills to help your not-for-profit credit union continue to grow and respond to members’ needs. Volunteering also provides an excellent opportunity to further develop business and leadership skills, and network with other area leaders. Bloom Credit Union volunteers are an integral part of our success.

Enhance your skills while helping your community.

Bloom Credit Union Associate Directors represent the best interests of Bloom's members, which is part of what makes credit unions unique. In addition to attending monthly board meetings, Associate Directors have opportunities to serve on special committees and to receive free training and education on issues important to the credit union and its members.

A volunteer’s own words:

“Serving as a Bloom Credit Union Director has given me the unique opportunity to use my skills and experiences to serve my fellow credit union members and the community overall…which feels great!  Keeping the member’s best interests in mind while making decisions needed to run a successful, growing credit union has been rewarding.
